What's New in LS Central 25.0: Enhanced Replenishment, Inventory Management, and Fashion Features

Oct 28, 2024

This latest version comes packed with enhancements to streamline operations, making it easier for retailers to manage inventory, pricing, and replenishment across multiple stores and warehouses. Here’s a rundown of what’s new:

Aggregated Inventory Meets Automatic Replenishment

Building on the capabilities introduced in version 24.0, Aggregated Inventory now supports automatic replenishment, enabling seamless calculation of item quantities needed across stores and central warehouses. With this update, retailers can effortlessly track inventory, historical sales, and orders while ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand.

Enhanced Cost Redistribution by Dimension

To improve cost accuracy across stores, you can now redistribute costs from aggregated dimensions to specific store dimensions using the new Cost Redistribution by Dimensions routine. This ensures more precise inventory cost allocation in the General Ledger.

Unit Cost Rollup for Better Data Accuracy

Keep inventory costs updated with the Unit Cost Rollup routine, which refreshes Aggregated Inventory Entries with the latest cost and sales data, ensuring that your financials reflect real-time information.

Simplified Price Management for Fashion

Updating prices for item variants just got easier. The new Dimension Price Matrix allows for bulk updates across different variants (e.g., colours and sizes), making it simpler to maintain sales and purchase prices. This feature is available when using the latest pricing functionalities in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Transfer Replenishment with Multi-Warehouse Support

The replenishment process now supports transfers from up to three warehouses, automatically prioritising stock from the primary warehouse and cascading to secondary ones if needed. Plus, the new Warehouse to Warehouse transfer type optimises stock redistribution by considering supply and demand across locations.

BOM Handling Improvements for Make-to-Stock

For businesses dealing with complex products, the enhanced BOM (Bill of Materials) functionalities offer better inventory management for make-to-stock items. The system can now adjust replenishment calculations for components based on existing BOM stock, streamlining assembly orders and stock transfers.

Automated Purchase Order Release with the Release Calendar

With the new Release Calendar feature, scheduling purchase order releases is a breeze. Automatically dispatch orders to vendors at defined times, ensuring timely deliveries. Particularly useful for industries where rapid restocking is essential, such as pharmacies.

Flexible Logging Options During Manual Replenishment Calculations

New settings allow you to decide whether to enable logging during manual journal calculations, providing greater control over the replenishment process.

These improvements make LS Central 25.0 an essential upgrade for any retailer aiming to optimise inventory management and drive operational efficiency.
